When filled with helium, the balloons can float for about 8–10 days, depending on the amount of helium and the ambient temperature. Helium contracts in the cold and expands in the heat, so the actual float time may vary.

Important tip: Fill the number balloons with helium to about 80–90% capacity. Helium expands when heated, so an overinflated balloon may burst. Therefore, keep the balloons away from open flames, heat sources, and sharp objects.
